Jenny Deveau and Seth Misterka perform sound baths as Dynasty Electrik. They use traditional sound healing instruments including crystal singing bowls and gongs combined with electronic tones, theremin and nature sounds. The sound healing duo perform private and group sessions in addition to their Friday night sound bath at Mystic Journey Crystal Gallery in Venice, California. The vibrational power of sound has the ability to transport the listener to a state of deep meditation and relaxation where the chakras are balanced and the energetic body is harmonized.
Deveau and Misterka have musical backgrounds. Dynasty Electrik (also known as Dynasty Electric) have earned critical praise, had their music featured in television and film, and toured globally. In addition to sound healing, they perform rock shows incorporating DJ elements and live instruments to create a unique fusion of electronic music and psychedelic experience.
Deveau creates transformational experience through sound and crystals. She scans the auric field and uses sensory information, intuition and compassionate communication to create a specialized session in alignment with her client’s specific physical, emotional & spiritual needs. She was initiated into the practice of Svaha Yoga, a Shamanic energy technique, by Master Energy Medicine Practitioner, Lisa Ishwari Murphy. She has a Master’s Degree in the Psychology of Communication from New York University, and is also certified in Color Therapy & Reiki. Jenny has studied the metaphysical properties of crystals and gemstones extensively. She shares her work with crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, performing at studios in New York City and Los Angeles. Jenny’s been a practicing yogi for 20 years.
Misterka is also known for his collaborations with Brian Chase of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. He's a meditation teacher who began practicing yoga in 1994 as a teenager. While studying philosophy and music at Wesleyan University, he met his first guru in the form of master musician Anthony Braxton who introduced him to the mystical dimension of sound. He continued his studies at Ananda Ashram and Fairhaven Healing Arts Center with master energy healer Lisa Ishwari Murphy who introduced him to Svaha Yoga, the Yoga of Sound.
